English-speaking YouTuber SwitchForce predicted a new Nintendo Direct—in this case, the August 2025 Indie World. Not only did he foresee this event, but also a sequence of upcoming announcements that could leave us speechless. Today, we’ll go over them in this post.
Date and Time of the Event
The Indie World has been officially confirmed for August 7, 2025, at 7:00 AM Central America time. It will run for approximately 15 minutes—almost exactly, since we know Nintendo is neither early nor late with its schedules.
Hot News – SILKSONG Demo
According to rumors, a demo of an unspecified game will be shown during this Indie World. Many claim it will be a Metroid demo, but we’re betting on it being a demo for Hollow Knight: Silksong, since—as we all know—the first game was revealed during an Indie World years ago.
It’s already been announced that a playable demo will be available at Gamescom, but there’s nothing to indicate it will appear before that event. For now, it’s all just speculation, and no one can say for sure.
A Three-Phase Plan
SwitchForce also revealed that Nintendo has a three-phase plan:
- Nintendo Partner Showcase (already aired)
- Nintendo Indie World (up next)
- Nintendo Direct
This upcoming Nintendo Direct is rumored to be a game-specific presentation, which, as of today, we can safely say will be focused on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Nothing suggests that we’ll see other major titles.
However, there’s also the possibility that it will be a general Direct with games and updates, featuring a few announcements about Metroid Prime 4, followed by a dedicated Direct for the game itself. The Switch 2 is just getting started, so it’s understandable that—for now—they might focus on presentations tied directly to the new console.
